Meet the Team

Sahabat Cipta considers its people as a highly valuable asset of the foundation. We are currently developing our human resource development programs, where every member of its team has equal opportunity to develop their skills and career path within the organization. Here are some highlights on the resumes of our key persons:


Dollaris R. (Waty) Suhadi, Executive Director

Waty Suhadi has more than 25 years of experience in implementing development and research projects. She has a comprehensive understanding of environmental policy and management, private sector development, knowledge management, and environmental modeling. Her analytical and managerial skills coupled with leadership have brought her into various positions, including project manager, team leader, country coordinator, and principal consultant for projects funded by foreign donors including USEPA, World Bank, ADB, UNDP, the Union, GIZ, ILO, SDC, etc. and also multinational companies especially in extractive industry. Waty is well verse of market development/private sector development approach; indeed she is the driving force behind the development of intervention design using the Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) approach and Donor Committee Enterprise Development (DCED) monitoring approach for almost all projects implemented by the organization she is leading.


Elvy S. Setheono, Director of Operations

Elvy has twelve years of experience with the eight years of experience working in a Public Accounting Firms with client focus on non-profit sector (United Nations agencies, international and national non-government organizations) and four years working in International and National non-government organizations. Her fields of expertise include financial audit, accounting, finance, administration and human resources management.


Etih Suryatin, Program Manager

Etih Suryatin (Eet) has more than 15 years of experience in value chain and sector development, local economic development in eastern Indonesia especially in Flores and several areas in Indonesia such as Sumatera, Bandung, Jakarta. She has built a solid network with stakeholders in the government, private sector and business association, and other stakeholders in the value chains. She is well versed about project management (from design to implementation, monitoring and evaluation) to ensure that project meets the objectives.

Having been trained in the Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) approach and the Donor Committee Enterprise Development (DCED) monitoring & evaluation system, Eet has now become an M4P & DCED trainer herself. She has delivered more than 10 M4P training sessions for national NGOs. Eet holds Project Manager position since 2004, managing value chain & local economic development projects in eastern Indonesia. Eet has strong understanding in private sector development and has been engaged in various project intervention designs which include capacity building for small enterprises, access to various services (market, finance, information, technology), Enabling Business Environment. Lastly, she is also a certified Internal Control System - ICS/Internal Management System - IMS trainer and Product Quality Assurance.


Dedi P. Hutahaean, Program Manager

Dedi Hutahaean has an extensive private sector orientation. He started his career with one of the leading companies in telecommunication, before joining Sahabat Cipta in early 2012. Dedi has solid managerial skills needed to support the performance of development work he is engaged in with Sahabat Cipta. His leadership and managerial skills coupled with his interpersonal and communication skills have prompted him to adapt to different situations in project management of value chain development, have multitasking ability hence contributing to the effective implementation of projects. He currently serves as Program Manager overseeing 3 livelihood projects.
